Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum spoke at the Great Transformation and National Garden Opening Ceremony in Bağcılar.
The institution made important statements regarding the possible Istanbul earthquake and the Half is on Us campaign.
Minister Kurum, who announced that they removed the date restriction of the ‘Half of Us’ campaign in the transformation, said, “We are starting the new application period for Half of Us. We are now removing the date restriction for Half of Us.”
Murat Kurum stated that they started a new period in the campaign and that they paved the way for indefinite applications in 39 districts of Istanbul.
Minister Kurum said that they wanted to speed up the process and explained that they had made improvements regarding the companies and continued as follows:
“With the new projects to be produced, we are keeping parking and shelter areas out of the project square meters. We will not allow any of our brothers to lose their rights. We are also making improvements for our contractor companies. We immediately pay 30 percent of the contract price as soon as they start work.”

Kurum, who also made important statements regarding the possible Istanbul earthquake, said, “We live together with the danger of earthquake in this city. There is no mistake in the analogy: We are sitting on a bomb whose pin has been pulled. We all need to take action together.”
