A private company owned by Donald Trump has apparently registered trademark rights for airports that are not yet named after the US President. This is reported by the medium “Forbes”, among others. In this way, Trump apparently has the use of his name at airports protected as a trademark.

According to the report, DTTM Operations LLC, which is managed by the Trump Organization, filed three trademark applications with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Applications for “Donald J. Trump International Airport”, “President Donald J. Trump International Airport” and “DJT” have reached the authority. As several US media reports, Trump has been telling his advisors for years that he wants an airport named after him.

US Energy Secretary Chris Wright has accused Europe of focusing too much on combating climate change. A “climate cult” has driven up Europe’s energy prices while the continent produces less of it, Wright said in an interview with the AFP news agency on Tuesday. This focus on climate has “reduced economic opportunities for Europeans,” he added.

According to Wright, Washington’s message to Europe is simple: “We just have to be serious and sober about energy,” he said. “Energy improves people’s lives.” Washington wants a “strong, powerful, industrial, prosperous and prosperous Europe.” Meanwhile, Wright dismissed concerns about rising CO2 emissions. These are “a side effect of the modern world,” he said. All they did was “make the world a little warmer, a little greener and a little wetter.” US President Trump has repeatedly described climate protection as “the biggest fraud” in the world. Instead of expanding renewable energies, Trump is again focusing on promoting climate-damaging fossil fuels such as oil and gas.

With regard to the diplomatic tensions between Europe and the USA, most recently during the crisis over US claims to Greenland, which is part of the NATO and EU member state Denmark, Europe does not have to worry, explained Wright. Washington remains a “strong ally.” US President Donald Trump has a “very aggressive” style, but “there was never a possibility that the US would take Greenland,” he said. Rather, this policy of “tough love” is an attempt to “help Europe have a stronger army, a stronger energy system and a stronger economy.”
