BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul gained 0.55 percent in the first half of the day and rose to 10,739.78 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 10,739.78 points, an increase of 58.57 points compared to the previous closing, as of 13:00.
The total transaction volume was 54.7 billion lira.
The banking index gained 0.02 percent and the holding index gained 1.40 percent. Among the sector indices, sports was the one that gained the most with 2.87 percent, and insurance was the one that lost the most with 0.61 percent.
On the other hand, Turkey was removed from the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list.
Analysts stated that a cautious course was followed in global stock markets due to the mixed signals of the data announced in the US yesterday, and that domestic markets diverged positively with Turkey’s removal from the grey list.
Analysts said that the core personal consumption expenditures price index data, which the US Federal Reserve (Fed) takes into account as an inflation indicator, is the focus of investors today, and noted that from a technical perspective, 10,800 and 10,900 points are resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 10,600 and 10,500 levels are support.
