BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul gained 0.49 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 10,734.05 points.
BIST 100 index, which had an upward trend in the first half of the day, increased by 51.90 points compared to the previous close as of 13:00, reaching 10,734.05 points. Total transaction volume was 41.8 billion liras.
While the banking index lost 0.24 percent, the holding index gained 0.51 percent. Among the sector indexes, the biggest gainer was mining with 1.78 percent, and the biggest loser was securities investment trusts with 1.02 percent.
Analysts said that a positive trend was observed in global stock markets, with data released in the US indicating that economic activity was slowing down, while the labor market also showed signs of cooling.
Analysts stated that the data agenda abroad is calm today, and that the real effective exchange rate and weekly money and banking statistics data will be followed domestically, and noted that from a technical perspective, 10,800 and 10,900 points are resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 10,600 and 10,500 levels are support.
