While European stock markets follow a positive trend, except for Spain, positive signals from company balance sheets support investors’ risk appetite, although an agreement that will ensure permanent calm in the Middle East has not been reached yet.
While global markets continue to search for direction due to the uncertainties regarding the future steps of the US Federal Reserve (Fed) and the effect of the fact that the agreement expected to be reached this week in the Middle East has not yet been reached, the non-farm employment data to be announced in the US today has become the focus of investors.
While the increases led by technology and telecommunication stocks across Europe attracted attention, the positive signals received from the announced company balance sheets and the macroeconomic data announced today also supported the pricing.
According to the data announced today, industrial production in Germany increased by 0.2 percent on a monthly basis, meeting expectations. Calendar-adjusted industrial production decreased by 0.1 percent on an annual basis, contrary to expectations.
On the other hand, the country’s foreign trade balance gave a surplus of 15.4 billion euros in June. Market expectations were that the foreign trade balance would have a surplus of 17.2 billion euros.
