BIST 100 index on Borsa Istanbul gained 0.32 percent in the first half of the day, rising to 10,376.63 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, increased by 33.32 points compared to the previous close and reached 10,376.63 points as of 13:00.
Total transaction volume was 32.9 billion lira.
The banking index gained 0.38 percent, while the holding index lost 0.11 percent. Among the sector indexes, the biggest gainer was sports with 2.67 percent, and the biggest loser was tourism with 0.81 percent.
Analysts said that in global stock markets, the statements of US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell and European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde became the focus of investors.
Analysts stated that the data agenda is calm in the country today, and that the JOLTS job openings in the USA will be followed abroad, and that from a technical perspective, 10,400 and 10,500 points are resistance in the BIST 100 index, while 10,300 and 10,200 are support levels.
