According to the statement of Akkuyu Nükleer AŞ, the 255-ton final pressure rotor was placed in the design position.
Sergei Butckikh, General Manager of Akkuyu Nükleer AŞ, whose comments were included in the statement, stated that the rotor assembly was carried out with the help of a bridge crane.
Stating that the assembly process is important for the unit, Butckikh said:
“The assembly of the rotor is a technically complex process that requires high precision. The process was completed successfully and all large-sized components of the turbine unit of the first unit of Akkuyu NPP were installed in the design position. We should not adjust the turbine shaft line before starting to test the turbine plant “We need to ensure the density and tightness of the secondary circuit. These processes mean welding more than 3 thousand connections in various technical structures.”
