Speaking at the ceremony, IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu said that floods that caused loss of life had occurred in Silivri and throughout Istanbul in the past.
İmamoğlu stated that with the completion of the project, they will see that many issues that cause very bad images will no longer be on the agenda of Silivri and Istanbul, and noted that their goal is to build a healthy and safe infrastructure in every street and neighborhood of Istanbul.

İmamoğlu was at the podium at the groundbreaking ceremony in Silivri. “Let me sit, let me sit back, let Ekrem work, let us be the government, there will be no looting like that, no way. Every one of my friends will work 24/7, we will not leave a neighborhood or a home,” he said.

It was claimed that İmamoğlu was referring to Mansur Yavaş or some CHP mayors who allegedly acted together against him in Istanbul.

The CHP leader once again sent messages of support to İmamoğlu from Konya. “Mayor Ekrem is our pioneer mayor who opened the first of the city restaurants, branded the city restaurants and contributed to their spread throughout Turkey,” he said.
