The Communiqué on Amendments to the Tax Procedure Law General Communiqué prepared by the Revenue Administration of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance entered into force after being published in the Official Gazette.

Accordingly, the mandatory amount for consumers to make payments for goods or services over 7 thousand liras through banks and financial institutions has been increased to 30 thousand liras.

Adjustments were also made to the amounts in the examples in the communiqué.

PROCEDURES RELATED TO FOREIGNERS AND NON-TURKISH RESIDENTS WERE ALSO REGULATED

On the other hand, within the scope of the documentation obligation, a change has been made in the obligation to make collections and payments regarding transactions with foreigners (except for non-taxpayers) and real persons who do not reside in Turkey, through intermediary financial institutions.

Within the scope of the application, there is a requirement to write the passport numbers of foreigners or natural persons who do not reside in Türkiye on the invoices to be issued. With the regulation, a copy of the passports will no longer be required to be attached to the invoice.

There will be no obligation to deposit the collected amounts to intermediary financial institutions until the end of the first business day following collection.
