BIST 100 index in Borsa Istanbul increased by 0.54 percent in the first half of the day and reached 9,471.46 points.
BIST 100 index, which moved in an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 9,471.46 points as of 13.00, an increase of 51.04 points compared to the previous closing. The total transaction volume was 45.3 billion lira.
Banking index gained 1.03 percent, holding index gained 0.52 percent
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was transportation with 1.56 percent, and the one that decreased the most was insurance with 0.78 percent.
Global markets are following a mixed course following US Federal Reserve (Fed) Chairman Jerome Powell’s statements that the economy does not give signals that would require a rush in interest rate cuts.
Analysts stated that the domestic data agenda will be calm for the rest of the day, while retail sales in the USA, New York Fed manufacturing index, industrial production and capacity utilization rate will be followed abroad, and from a technical perspective, the resistance of 9,500 and 9,600 points in the BIST 100 index will be 9,350 and 9,250 levels. He noted that he was in a supportive position.
