In the first half of the day, the BIST 100 index rose to 8,786.06 points, an increase of 86.87 points compared to the previous closing, as of 13.00, and the total transaction volume was 28.7 billion lira.
The banking index gained 0.26 percent and the holding index gained 1.26 percent. While all sector indices increased, the biggest gainer was IT with 3.78 percent.
A positive trend is observed in global markets, as expectations that the US economy may make a “soft landing” remain strong.
While optimism that inflation will decrease to the targeted level in the USA continues to exist, the data and financial results of companies to be announced in the country during the week are expected to have an impact on the direction of the markets.
Analysts stated that the New York Fed manufacturing index will be followed in the USA, and noted that technically, 8,900 and 9,000 levels in the BIST 100 index are resistance, and 8,700 and 8,490 points are support.
