200 passengers arrived in Izmir with flight number W4 3125, operated with an Airbus A321 type aircraft. Passengers were welcomed with flowers at the terminal. Wizz Air will operate direct flights between Izmir and Bucharest three days a week, Monday, Friday and Sunday, until October 20, 2024.
TAV Ege General Manager Erkan Balcı said, “We are working with our stakeholders to connect Izmir to the entire world with direct flights. We look forward to welcoming our passengers from all over the world.”
İzmir Adnan Menderes Airport, which organizes reciprocal flights to 73 different destinations in 38 countries with a total of 42 airlines, served 1.3 million passengers in international lines in the first five months of 2024, with a 31 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year. The total number of passengers reached 4.1 million, with a 15 percent increase compared to the same period of the previous year.
