X shared the first transparency report after Elon Musk: 5.3 million accounts suspended

A transparency report was shared for the first time after the social media platform X was sold to US billionaire businessman Elon Musk. The report stated that millions of posts and accounts were blocked on the social media platform in the first half of the year.

According to AA, it was observed that the number of suspensions of accounts on the platform increased more than 3 times compared to the previous period. In the first 6 months of 2022, 1.6 million accounts were suspended, and in the same period of 2024, this figure increased to 5.3 million.

The report shared information that more than 10.6 million posts were removed for “violating the rules” in the January-June period.
