In the statement made by the Ministry, it was stated that the General Directorate of Domestic Trade inspected a real estate business last week, which had made an exorbitant increase in the real estate listing price, following the news that “there will be a decrease in housing loan interest rates”.

In the statement, it was stated that an administrative fine of 100 thousand liras was imposed on the real estate business following the inspection, and the following was noted:

“Another 117 real estate businesses that made exorbitant increases in their advertising prices in September have been identified, and as of today, the imposition of an administrative fine of 100 thousand liras for each real estate business, totaling 11 million 700 thousand liras, has started.”

In the statement, it was stated that the Ministry will closely monitor the price changes on the advertising platforms and will continue to impose the necessary administrative penalties on real estate businesses that try to turn the decrease in loan interest rates into an opportunity and increase the advertising prices exorbitantly.
