Information about future activities was given in the 2024-2028 Defense Industry Sectoral Strategy Document, which was published a while ago.
The striking detail in the document was the information that the delivery date of the domestic and national military training aircraft Hürjet was postponed.
Turkey’s first manned jet-powered military training aircraft, Hürjet, which was designed with the work initiated by TAI in 2017, made its first flight on April 25, 2023. According to the plan, the first delivery of Hürjet was expected to be made in 2025.
However, TAI General Manager Dr. Mehmet Demiroğlu stated that this date is very optimistic and that 2026 is more realistic.
It was underlined in the report that the first delivery will be made in 2027. Accordingly, 4 aircraft will be delivered in 2027 and 12 in the following two years.
