Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek stated that they provided approximately 2.3 billion dollars of resources this year to be directed to SMEs and exporters through Eximbank and development banks, and said, “In this context, we will continue our efforts to facilitate SMEs’ access to finance during the disinflation process. Minister Şimşek told the AA correspondent that they continue to support the real sector, primarily SMEs and exporters.

Emphasizing that they continue to work to eliminate the problems experienced after the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş and to support businesses outside the earthquake zone, Şimşek said, “In this context, we provide long-term loans with favorable conditions to our businesses in close cooperation with international organizations. These loans enable our businesses to realize their investment projects. “It also supports the acceleration of projects that prioritize sustainability within the scope of green transformation.” he said

Şimşek pointed out that they provided approximately 2.3 billion dollars of resources from many international organizations this year to be directed to SMEs and exporters through Eximbank and development banks, and gave the following information:

“Through Eximbank, approximately 1 billion dollars of resources were provided for exporters’ green export projects, green infrastructure support projects and working capital needs. Approximately 1.3 billion dollars of resources were provided to support our SMEs through our development banks.”

Regarding the areas where these resources will be used, Minister Şimşek said, “This resource will be used to contribute to the food security projects of SMEs in the earthquake zone and to rebuild their economic activities. In addition, supporting the financing of international trade of businesses, supporting emission reduction investments throughout the country, internal support of the private sector.” “It is aimed to support the financing of electricity generation investments and energy storage systems projects to meet consumption needs.” he said.

Şimşek stated that the private sector has started to use these resources and that these resources will continue, adding:

“We always stand by our small and medium-sized enterprises. Our close cooperation with international organizations continues, and we will continue our efforts to provide long-term and favorable condition loans to support the real sector. In this context, we will continue our efforts to facilitate SMEs’ access to finance during the disinflation process.
