Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), requested additional support to be given to labor-intensive sectors, especially textile and ready-made clothing.
TOBB President Hisarcıklıoğlu made the following statements in his statement on his social media account:
“We must protect our country’s production, investment, employment and export capacity. Labor-intensive sectors are in danger of losing competitiveness. Increasing costs negatively affect production and exports. Additional support should be given to labor-intensive sectors, especially textile and ready-made clothing. “In order for our economy to grow on a stronger and more sustainable basis, the real sector’s access to finance should be facilitated and restrictions on commercial loans should be removed.”
