BIST 100 index at Borsa Istanbul gained 0.07 percent in the first half of the day, reaching 9,706.59 points.
BIST 100 index, which had an upward trend in the first half of the day, rose to 9,706.59 points as of 13:00, up 7.03 points compared to the previous close. Total transaction volume was 31.7 billion liras.
While the banking index lost 1.12 percent, the holding index gained 0.24 percent.
Among the sector indices, the one that gained the most was communications with 1.97 percent, while the one that fell the most was securities investment trusts with 1.28 percent.
In global markets, risk appetite is seen to have strengthened with the possibility that the inflation data to be announced tomorrow in the US may lead the US Federal Reserve (Fed) to start interest rate cuts by 50 basis points.
Analysts noted that from a technical perspective, the 9,800 and 10,000 levels in the BIST 100 index are resistance, while the 9,600 and 9,500 point levels are support.
