BIST 100 index, which moved in a downward trend in the first half of the day, fell to 10,038.37 points as of 13:00, a decrease of 47.13 points and 0.47 percent compared to the previous closing. The total transaction volume was 39.4 billion lira.

The banking index lost 0.66 percent and the holding index lost 0.19 percent.

Among the sector indices, sports was the one that gained the most with 3.02 percent, and communication was the one that lost the most with 1.16 percent.

While concerns remain in global markets regarding the policies to be implemented by Donald Trump, who is expected to take office in the United States, a mixed course is observed ahead of the macroeconomic data calendar that will intensify as of today.

Analysts stated that the domestic data agenda was calm in the afternoon, and that foreign trade balance in the USA, JOLTS number of open jobs and ISM service sector Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) data would be followed abroad, and that 10,000 and 9,900 points in the BIST 100 index would be technically supportive. He stated that 10,200 and 10,300 levels are in resistance position.
