The deferment and installment process for taxpayers with tax debt is nearing its end. Some taxes and public receivables within the scope can be paid in installments in line with the specified conditions in a longer term.
Taxpayers must complete their applications by the end of business on Monday, August 31, 2026. Due to the intensity and technical problems that may occur in electronic applications, it is recommended not to leave the procedures until the last day.
WHICH DEBTS CAN BE PAID IN INSTALLMENTS?
According to the news in Yenigün, within the scope of the regulation, it is possible to pay in installments for various public receivables that meet certain conditions. These include receivables such as income tax, corporate tax, VAT, fees, traffic fines, criminal penalty debts, judicial fines and student loan debts. Debts within the scope other than VAT can be paid in installments up to 72 months, and VAT debts can be paid in installments up to a maximum of 12 months.
NO CURRENCY REQUIREMENT UP TO 10 MILLION TL
One of the striking details in the application was the guarantee requirement. Collateral will not be required during deferment and installment payments from taxpayers whose total debt amount does not exceed 10 million TL.
If the debt amount exceeds 10 million TL, a guarantee of half of the excess amount will be required.
APPLICATIONS CAN BE MADE ONLINE
Taxpayers do not need to go to the tax office to apply. Transactions can be carried out electronically via the Revenue Administration website, Digital Tax Office and e-Government. Through the Digital Tax Office, taxpayers can view their covered debts and complete their applications for the appropriate payment plan.
DEADLINE FOR FIRST INSTALLMENT IS SEPTEMBER 30
Taxpayers whose applications are accepted must pay the first installment in the payment plan by September 30, 2026. Subsequent payments will be made on the dates specified in the payment plan created. For this reason, attention should be paid not only to the application date but also to the payment dates of the installments.
APPLICATION DEADLINE AUGUST 31
The critical date for taxpayers who want to pay their tax debts in installments is August 31, 2026. Applications must be completed by this date. It is important for taxpayers to check the scope of their debts and the payment plan that can be applied to them and submit their applications on time.
