The Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change made a statement regarding real estate sales transactions in 2024, in line with the data of the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre (TKGM).
Accordingly, real estate sales, concentrated in metropolitan cities, were mostly made in Istanbul with 326 thousand 737. Istanbul alone accounted for approximately 9 percent of real estate sales.
Ankara took the second place with 191 thousand 929 real estate sales. This was followed by Izmir with 132 thousand 809 sales, Bursa with 102 thousand 950 sales and Antalya with 101 thousand 726 sales.
ŞEHİTKAMİL DISTRICT WITH THE MOST REAL ESTATE SALES
The districts with the most real estate sales in 2024 were also determined. Gaziantep’s Şehitkamil district, one of the provinces in the earthquake zone, ranked first with 29 thousand 437 real estate sales.
The Esenyurt district of Istanbul took the second place on the list. 28 thousand 803 real estate properties were sold in Esenyurt in 2024. Gaziantep’s Şahinbey district ranked third with 27 thousand 173 sales.
Çankaya, the most populous district of Ankara, ranked fourth with 25 thousand 26 real estate sales, and Nilüfer district of Bursa ranked fifth with 23 thousand 288 sales.
In 2024, 2 million 822 thousand 712 real estates were sold. 1 million 256 thousand 901 of the real estates were in the housing category.
