The commission convened under the chairmanship of AK Party Samsun Deputy Mehmet Muş.
Before the meeting, CHP Malatya Deputy Veli Ağbaba showed a “red card” to the Commission Chairman and the AK Party Group. Ağbaba, who came to the commission with a shopping cart, stated that his shopping cost 2 thousand liras and said, “You are not aware of the situation of the retiree. You are not aware of the minimum wage. I am showing a red card to your regiment.” he said.
Commission Chairman Muş said, “How will we hold the meeting if you show me a red card? The purpose has been achieved. Should I leave then? If I go, there will be no meeting.” he replied.
AK Party Uşak Deputy İsmail Güneş said to Ağbaba, “There is no opposition like this. You are too weak.” he said.
When the discussion between AK Party and CHP deputies continued, Commission Chairman Muş took a 10-minute break from the meeting before the talks.
CHP Izmir Deputy Rahmi Aşkın Türeli, who spoke on the procedure after the break, said that some articles that were previously withdrawn from another bill were added to this bill.
Noting that these articles of law should be discussed in other commissions, Türeli said, “There are unconstitutionalities. This will be rejected by the Constitutional Court. The scope is being expanded, this is against the Constitution. This cannot happen. Such a disreputable, unqualified and low-quality work cannot be done. Our friends will respond to the citizens’ cries regarding the lowest pension.” They expressed it here: Is this right? How will people survive below the hunger line? he said.
DEM Party Antalya Deputy Hakkı Saruhan Oluç also stated that the articles that were previously withdrawn in the Turkish Grand National Assembly General Assembly were included in this bill.
İYİ Party Samsun Deputy Erhan Usta also explained that the practice was unethical. Usta stated that it was not correct for the minimum pension to be announced by the Minister of Labor and Social Security, Vedat Işıkhan, and stated that the decision-maker on this issue was the Parliament.
Later, AK Party Osmaniye Deputy Seydi Gülsoy, the first signatory of the proposal, started to make a presentation in the commission.
