Iranian President Massoud Peseschkian has threatened harsh retaliatory strikes against neighboring countries if the country’s infrastructure or economic centers are attacked. In a “message to the countries of the region,” Peseschkian wrote on Platform X: “If you want development and security, do not allow our enemies to wage war from your soil.”
According to Iranian sources, Israeli and US air forces had previously expanded their attacks on steel mills and defense and energy infrastructure facilities in several Iranian provinces. Since the war began on February 28, Iran has again been attacking targets in neighboring Arab countries. The leadership in Tehran justifies this, among other things, with the stationing of US troops in these countries.
According to military sources, three journalists were killed in an Israeli attack in southern Lebanon on Saturday. The attack hit the journalists’ vehicle in the Jezzine region, military sources said. The Israeli army said it had killed a man who was part of an elite unit of the pro-Iranian Hezbollah militia, which Israel is fighting.
According to military sources, one of the killed journalists worked for the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar channel. A journalist from the Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Mayadeen station and her brother, a cameraman, were also killed. The two broadcasters confirmed the death of their correspondents.
The Israeli army, however, said that the Hezbollah member it killed had disguised itself as a journalist. In fact, the man “systematically” announced the positions of Israeli soldiers in southern Lebanon.
The Iranian military says it has destroyed a depot containing Ukrainian drone defense systems in the United Arab Emirates. The depot was located in Dubai and served to support the US military, the Iranian Armed Forces’ Central Operational Command said on Saturday. Ukraine immediately rejected the information. “This is a lie,” said a spokesman for the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry. “The Iranian regime often runs such disinformation operations – just like the Russians.”
