Movement comes into the peace talks for Ukraine. The Ukrainian president accepts an offer from the Kremlin.

The Ukrainian President Wolodymyr Selenskyj is ready for the peace discussion proposed by the Russian head of state Vladimir Putin in the coming week. “I will wait for Putin in Turkey on Thursday, personally,” wrote Selenskyj on the X.

“We expect an armistice from tomorrow – completely and permanently to create the necessary basis for diplomacy. It has no point in extending killing,” Selenskyj had previously written on Telegram. “I hope that this time the Russians will not look for reasons why they can’t.”

The cremal chief had offered the admission of negotiations in Turkey the night before to advise on a possible end for the war in Ukraine, which lasted over three years. The offer of the Kremlin is considered a reaction to a common ultimatum of the “coalition of the willing”.

Ukraine had requested a 30-day ceasefire from Monday together with Poland, Germany, France and Great Britain. If Russia does not get involved, the country will face new western sanctions.

The United States had recently threatened to withdraw from the placements about the end of the Russian war of aggression. Trump had actually promised to quickly end the war after taking office in January. In the past week, he several times expressed his frustration that the negotiations have so far not brought a real result. He alternately attacked Selenskyj and Putin for their actions.
