Speaking to Defense News, Security and Defense Analyst Alexandru Georgescu noted that Romania attaches great importance to foreign suppliers’ offers of cooperation with local companies, and that after Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, the Bucharest administration is trying to strengthen the neglected Romanian defense industry.
Powered by a turbocharged diesel engine, Cobra II has a gross weight of 14.5 tons. The vehicle can carry 11 people, including the driver and commander.
