Apple is preparing to introduce the iPhone Ultra, its first device with a foldable screen, this September, breaking the standard design line that has been around for years. Aiming to make an assertive entry into the foldable phone market led by competitors such as Samsung, the company aims to recapture the “Apple magic” with a radical case change.
According to the news by Bloomberg’s reliable analyst Mark Gurman, based on sources who tested the device, the first impressions about the new design are quite positive. Test users; He states that the device fits easily into the pocket when closed, the hinge structure feels quite solid, and the wider in-screen software experience works very well with the inspiration taken from the iPad operating system. In addition, the ease of use offered by the 5.5-inch external screen as a camera viewfinder is among the prominent advantages.
DETAIL USERS DON’T LIKE
Despite all the exciting developments, there is one significant shortcoming that did not please early testers. It is stated that the camera setup of the device does not include the telephoto lens that we are used to seeing in the iPhone Pro series. This reduction in camera performance was the most criticized point about the design of the device.
PRICE TAG THAT COULD EXCEED 2 THOUSAND DOLLARS
Due to the costs brought by the new foldable technology and the increases in the supply chain, the iPhone Ultra is expected to be the most expensive phone in Apple’s history. Rumors indicate that the device may exceed the $2 thousand / £2 thousand (approximately 130 thousand TL) limit. It is also among the news that there may be stock problems in both the Ultra and other models of the series during the release period due to supply problems in production.
WHAT TO EXPECT AT THE SEPTEMBER EVENT?
According to the news of Independent Turkish; While iPhone Pro updates and the Ultra model are expected to be exhibited at the September event, it is said that the release of iPhone 18 may be delayed until later in the autumn.
At this event, Apple is expected to debut the completely new generation AirPods model with built-in cameras.
