RUSSIA’S ‘APOCALYPSE TORPEDO’
Russia’s nuclear-powered unmanned underwater vehicle called Poseidon has been designed to carry a nuclear warhead. Russian President Vladimir Putin announced that the system was tested in October 2025. Russia also tested its Burevestnik nuclear-powered missile, which it claimed flew 14 thousand kilometers. It has not yet been confirmed that either system has been used in combat. The development and deployment details of the platforms are kept secret.
USA’S GHOST BOMBER PLANE
The B-21 Raider stealth aircraft, developed by the US company Northrop Grumman, is known as a new generation strategic bomber system that can carry nuclear and conventional weapons. The aircraft, produced at Palmdale facilities in California, made its first flight in November 2023. Details of the design that reduces radar visibility are not even included in the reports. The USA is also developing the Sentinel intercontinental nuclear missile and the Dark Eagle hypersonic system, the details of which are marked “secret” in official reports.
CHINA’S SECRET NUCLEAR POWER: DF-61
China publicly demonstrated its DF-61 intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time at the military parade in Beijing in September 2025. DF-41 and submarine-launched JL-3 are also among the parts of China’s strategic deterrence capacity. DF-17 is known as a hypersonic glide vehicle carrying missile system. While the production and development processes are carried out by China’s defense industry organizations, the places where nuclear ammunition is stored are not disclosed.
EUROPE’S SECRET MISSILE PROGRAMS
France is working on a new generation air-launched missile called ASN4G, which is planned to carry a nuclear warhead. MBDA and French defense organizations are taking part in the program. Britain and France are also jointly developing new long-range missiles to replace Storm Shadow/SCALP. The UK announced that it will allocate over 400 million pounds in 2026 for hypersonic and long-range weapons studies carried out with Germany, France and Italy. It is not disclosed to the public where the platforms in question are deployed.
