“RED VESTS ARE ON THE FIELD TO SERVE THE CITIZENS”
Göktaş, who stated that they aim to reach all households in need with ASDEP and improve their living conditions, reminded that the officers, also known as “Red Vests”, are on the field to support citizens from the first minute in disaster and emergency situations.
Minister Goktas noted the following:
“We identify the social assistance and social service needs of our citizens on-site during our home visits with ASDEP. Our 5,608 ASDEP personnel in the field visited 626,653 households this year, and a total of 7 million 700 thousand households to date. In this regard, we reached out to nearly 12 million citizens with our ASDEP teams and provided guidance and direction services regarding the services they needed. We work in coordination with other public institutions and organizations to increase citizens’ access to the services they need.
Our ASDEP teams, which conduct field scans, provide information, guidance and direction services to citizens regarding the services and issues they need through home visits. If the situations detected by our ASDEP teams are within the scope of our ministry, our citizens are provided with the opportunity to benefit from social service models. In cases outside the scope of the ministry, citizens are directed to the relevant public institutions.
