Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdulkadir Uraloğlu stated that 279 million 426 thousand 382 passengers benefited from high-speed, mainline and regional trains and urban rail systems last year.
In his written statement, Uraloğlu evaluated the 2024 passenger data shared by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ.
Stating that the number of passengers traveling on high-speed trains (YHT) last year reached 12 million 463 thousand 297, Uraloğlu said, “A total of 10 million 721 thousand 613 passengers used our regional and mainline trains. 256 million 241 thousand 472 citizens benefited from the rail system lines. Thus, in 2024, 279 of the high-speed, mainline and regional trains and urban rail system projects will be completed. “million 426 thousand 382 citizens benefited.” shared his knowledge.
NEARLY 232 MILLION PASSENGERS WERE CARRIED ON THE LINES IN ISTANBUL
Uraloğlu also gave information about the number of passengers carried on the Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme, Gayrettepe-İstanbul Airport-Arnavutköy metro lines, especially Marmaray, operated by TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ in Istanbul.
Stating that Marmaray served 218 million 886 thousand 16 passengers between Gebze and Halkalı throughout the year, Uraloğlu said, “Sirkeci-Kazlıçeşme Line was used by 3 million 159 thousand 496 citizens, and Gayrettepe-İstanbul Airport-Arnavutköy Line was used by 9 million 659 thousand 688 citizens.” used Halkalı-Bahçeşehir Line. “231 million 808 thousand 773 passengers used our lines in Istanbul.” made his assessment.

Emphasizing that they have come a long way in transportation to Turkey with YHTs, Minister Uraloğlu used the following statements:
“Customer satisfaction research is carried out every year by TCDD General Directorate of Transportation, with the aim of delivering every passenger satisfactorily. Our customer satisfaction reached a high score of 4.09/5 last year. 88.2 percent of our passengers traveling by YHTs are satisfied with YHTs. 93.9 percent stated that they recommend traveling with YHT and 95.9 percent stated that they plan to travel with YHT again, in line with our goal of offering the best to our passengers. “We continue to work as a whole team to increase it to 100.”

Minister Uraloğlu also mentioned that TCDD Taşımacılık AŞ is celebrating its 8th anniversary and said:
