Speaking at the “Great Transformation in Istanbul” 1602 Housing Draw Ceremony in Zeytinburnu, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that the Mass Housing Administration’s (TOKİ) 25 percent discount campaign for paying off cash debts for citizens who own houses and workplaces through social housing projects every year will be held between 22 September and 19 October 2026 this year.
NEW PAYMENT CAMPAIGN FROM TOKİ
Minister Kurum said, “We are giving good news to our 228 thousand brothers and sisters who bought their homes and workplaces from TOKİ and are continuing their payments, and we are launching a discount campaign. Within the scope of this campaign, we will give a 25 percent discount to our citizens who pay off their entire debt in advance between September 22 and October 19. Of course, some of our brothers may not have the means. But we have not forgotten them. Our brothers who cannot pay off the entire debt will also be able to benefit from a 25 percent discount on the amount they paid, when they pay at least 25 percent of their debt balance.”
IT COVERS 228 THOUSAND RESIDENCES AND WORKPLACES
Within the scope of the campaign, a 25 percent discount will be applied to those who want to pay off all of their debt, and a 25 percent discount will be applied to those who want to pay off some of their debt, provided that they pay at least 25 percent of the debt balance. The campaign covers the sale of 228 thousand residences and workplaces worth 340 billion TL.
WHO CAN BENEFIT?
According to the data shared by the Minister Kurum, housing and workplace beneficiaries whose sales were made by TOKİ until the end of June 2025 and whose repayment installments started as of the end of June 2025 will be able to benefit from the campaign. Beneficiaries whose remaining installments are 12 months or less will not be able to benefit from the campaign.
WHERE SHOULD APPLICATIONS BE MADE?
Rights holders will be able to make cash payments by applying to the bank that carries out the sales transactions. Recipients will need to first pay the current month’s installment as of the application date. This discount rate will not be applied to debt settlements and partial payments to be made after the specified date range.
