“Communiqué on Service Purpose Materials Used in Workplaces Holding Open Alcoholic Beverage Sales Certificate” prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry was published in the Official Gazette.

With the communiqué, limits were determined regarding the use of service-oriented materials that can contain alcoholic beverage brands, emblems and logos at liquor consumption points with an open alcoholic beverage sales license.

Accordingly, in the workplaces in question, service containers such as glasses, goblets, jugs or decanters made of glass or other materials used to serve alcoholic beverages whose packaging has been spoiled to the market, openers and corkscrews used to deteriorate the packaging of alcoholic beverages before consumption, Alcoholic beverage brands, emblems or logos can be used on trays and ice buckets used to serve consumers, on tap mechanisms used to prepare beer-type alcoholic beverages and pour them into service containers, on special mats for alcoholic beverages kept on service counters, and on containers, scales and sticks used in the preparation of alcoholic beverage mixtures. .

However, the materials in question cannot be used for any purpose other than the service and consumption of alcoholic beverages.

EXPLANATIONS ABOUT DRINKS OTHER THAN THE LOGO WILL NOT BE INCLUDED.

Only brands, emblems or logos on the original supply packaging of alcoholic beverages authorized to be placed on the market can be used on these materials.

No statement or explanation regarding alcoholic beverages other than the specified brand, emblem or logo can be included on the service materials.

Use of contrary service materials will be considered as encouraging content and advertising, and an administrative fine will be imposed.

The notification will come into force after 6 months.
