According to the weekly bulletin of the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BRSA), the total credit volume of the banking sector increased by 213 billion 237 million liras in the week of December 27, from 15 trillion 687 billion 328 million liras to 15 trillion 900 billion 565 million liras.
Total deposits in the banking sector, including interbanks, increased by 454 billion 394 million liras last week, reaching 18 trillion 998 billion 751 million liras.
THE AMOUNT OF CONSUMER LOANS WAS 2 TRILLION AND 12 BILLION LIRA
The amount of consumer loans increased by 28 billion 827 million liras as of December 27, reaching 2 trillion 11 billion 712 million liras. Of the amount in question, 511 billion 283 million lira consisted of housing loans, 75 billion 570 million lira from vehicle loans and 1 trillion 424 billion 860 million lira from consumer loans.
During this period, the amount of installment commercial loans increased by 13 billion 481 million liras and reached 2 trillion 174 billion 207 million liras.
Banks’ individual credit card receivables increased by 3.8 percent, reaching 1 trillion 795 billion 53 million liras. Of the individual credit card receivables, 630 billion 26 million liras were installment debts and 1 trillion 165 billion 27 million liras were non-installment debts.
LEGAL EQUITY INCREASED
As of December 27, non-performing receivables in the banking sector increased by 5 billion 309 million liras compared to the previous week, reaching 287 billion 512 million liras. Special provisions were allocated for 216 billion 154 million liras of non-performing receivables.
In the same period, the legal equity capital of the banking system increased by 26 billion 591 million liras and reached 3 trillion 400 billion 975 million liras.
The KKM balance decreased by 2 percent and 23 billion 582 million liras last week to 1 trillion 129 billion 899 million liras.
Thus, the size of KKM became 5.95 percent of the total deposits.
