Electronic Listing Verification System (EİDS) will be mandatory for those who want to rent their house as of January 1. Accordingly, those who will rent their homes will select their real estate in e-Government and authorize their real estate agent from the window that will open. Thus, real estate agents will be able to post advertisements on the sites with the authority they receive. With the implementation of the regulation, real estate businesses without authorization will not be able to enter rental advertisements through portals.
Hacı Ali Taylan, President of the Turkish Real Estate Consultants Federation, underlined that this system should also be valid for houses for sale. Taylan stated that the regulation was previously prepared for both rental and sale advertisements, but was later revised to only rental advertisements, and said, “The regulation started to be implemented in September. In line with the preparations of our Ministry of Commerce, EIDS brings extremely serious order to the sector. As a federation, we have provided the necessary training to our real estate agents so far.” he said.
Taylan pointed out that the application started to be implemented compulsorily in Bolu and Manisa as pilot regions as of November 1, and stated that the sector representatives in both provinces were satisfied with the regulation.
Reminding that housing for sale advertisements were not included in the regulation, which was planned to be completely mandatory on January 1, 2025, with the decision taken by the Ministry, Taylan said, “There have been minor glitches in the system from September to today, but our Ministry has corrected all of them. We do not know when the system will be completely mandatory, but as a sector, we have made our preparations and are waiting.” ” he said.
Taylan stated that the system is an important step in preventing fraud and fraud and said:
“Our Ministry saw such a need and currently limited the regulation only to rental advertisements. The system will seriously regulate the sector and eliminate unauthorized real estate agents, which we call illegal and errand boys. We have started to see many advertisements such as urgent sale from Syria.”
