As Israel prepares for a major attack by Iran, two suspected terrorists attack in Tel Aviv. Several people are injured, some fatally.
Shortly before the Iranian rocket attack on Israel, several people were killed in a gunshot and knife attack in the south of the Israeli coastal metropolis of Tel Aviv. According to police, at least six people were killed in the incident in Jaffa, a predominantly Arab district of Tel Aviv. The fatalities are therefore civilians.
According to police, “two terrorists” attacked people in the Jaffa district. In images shared on the X platform, two suspects can be seen, one of whom is holding a weapon. The attackers were “neutralized”.
According to the head of the Israeli emergency service Magen David Adom (MDA), Eli Bin, people were injured in two different locations. Among the “numerous injured,” several people were unconscious, it said in a separate statement. According to media reports, one of the crime scenes was a tram stop where passengers were waiting.
Since the beginning of the Gaza war around a year ago, there has been an increase in attacks in Israel.
