Tech billionaire and famous businessman Elon Musk said in a statement the other day that he hopes to implant millions of Neuralink chips into people’s brains in the next decade. Musk said in a post on his social media account, “If all goes well, hundreds of people will have Neuralink in a few years, maybe tens of thousands in five years, and millions in 10 years.” According to Musk, in the future, music will be transmitted directly to the brain and vision will be improved to see new parts of the light spectrum. Musk’s claim that the technology will one day allow for the combination of artificial intelligence to increase human performance has brought the “human mind control project” back to the agenda and created controversy.

Brain Surgeon Prof. Dr. İsmail Hakkı Aydın is one of the scientists who say that the aim is to control the human mind. Prof. Dr. Aydın said, “We already know which word or thought fires a neuron in the brain. An article was published in the scientific journal Nature in July. The article has determined which neuron fires which word, and this is very important. “This means that if we can read your mind, we can make you think whatever we want, and I don’t think that will happen in the long run.” he said.
