Despite international criticism, Iran is continuing to work on its drone program. The country is now presenting the next model – allegedly with a range of thousands of kilometers.
Iran presented the latest version of its kamikaze drones at a military parade in Tehran. According to the state broadcaster IRIB, the “Shahed 136-B” has a range of 4,000 kilometers and is said to be one of the most advanced drones in the world.
Iran says it has made great progress in the production of drones in recent years. They are also said to have played a key role for the Russian attacker in the Ukraine war. However, Tehran categorically denies this.
According to the Foreign Ministry, Iran is cooperating militarily with Moscow, but this has no connection with the Ukraine war. Tehran also claims that it has always worked for a quick end to the Ukraine war and has also supported diplomatic negotiations.
