On September 9, 2026, the USA targeted Xinbi Guarantee and SafeW and Anwen Technology, which provided its infrastructure. It was stated that the network is a huge market serving fraud, money laundering and other cyber crimes. It has been reported that Xinbi’s transactions since 2022 have exceeded 24 billion dollars.
19 MILLION IP ADDRESSES
In May 2024, the 911 S5 botnet, managed by Chinese citizen YunHe Wang, was brought down by a US-led international operation. The network was capturing approximately 19 million IP addresses and renting them to fraudsters. Stolen identities were used in multibillion-dollar pandemic and unemployment benefits fraud; Wang was arrested during the operation.
CHINA-SUPPORTED MUSTANG PANDA
In January 2025, the FBI and its international partners conducted an operation against Mustang Panda’s PlugX spyware, which was reportedly supported by the Chinese state. Starting in 2014, the group targeted governments, companies and Chinese dissidents in the United States, Europe and Asia. With the operation, malware was deleted from 4 thousand 258 computers in the USA alone.
MORE THAN 2,500 VICTIMS IN 120 COUNTRIES
Russia-linked LockBit has grown into one of the world’s largest ransomware networks. It attacked more than 2,500 targets in 120 countries, from hospitals to schools to critical infrastructure. It was stated that the network received at least 500 million dollars in ransom from its victims and caused billions of dollars in damage. The international operation captured a significant portion of LockBit’s infrastructure in 2024.
