Housing sales increased in June

The number of first-hand house sales across Türkiye increased by 23.1 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 43 thousand 406. Second-hand house sales increased by 12.5 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 86 thousand 573. The share of first-hand house sales in total house sales was 33.4 percent, and the share of second-hand house sales was 66.6 percent.

MORTGAGED SALES

Mortgaged house sales across Türkiye increased by 72.1 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 25 thousand 993. Other housing sales increased by 7.1 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 103 thousand 986. The share of mortgage sales in total housing sales was 20.0 percent, and the share of other sales was 80.0 percent.

HOUSING SALES TO FOREIGNERS

Housing sales to foreigners increased by 20.1 percent in June compared to the same month of the previous year, reaching 2 thousand 15. In June, the share of housing sales to foreigners in total housing sales was 1.6 percent. In the January-June period, housing sales to foreigners decreased by 9.2 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching 9 thousand 83.

In June, the most house sales by country nationality were made to citizens of the Russian Federation with 381, Ukrainians with 170 and Iran with 170, respectively.
