Russian President Vladimir Putin signed the decree that increased the number of soldiers in the Russian army by 180 thousand people, bringing the total number of military personnel to over 2 million 389 thousand. The most striking information is that the armored vehicle ‘BMPT-72 Terminator 2’, which causes death without discrimination between civilians and soldiers, will be deployed to the Ukrainian front. The latest move by the Russians also worries NATO.

The Kremlin also decided to send the ‘BMPT-72 Terminator 2’, known as “the world’s most dangerous light armored military vehicle” and which it has avoided using until now, to the front in Ukraine. The vehicle, defined as the “most lethal” in the class of conventional light armored combat vehicles, was specially designed for urban warfare. According to the information obtained by the US-based international defense publication Army Recognition, serious changes were made to the combat vehicle that joined the Russian army in the late 2010s. The vehicle already has special artillery shells with incendiary or lethal biological gas capsules. It is stated that the vehicle used high-caliber bullets such as phosphorus and poisonous bullets, which are considered war crimes under international law.

It is also known that the vehicle, which will be used for the first time in Ukraine, has advanced fire control systems and strong compact armor protection. The armor of the vehicle is known as ‘Kotakt-5’ explosive reactive armor (ERA), which is among the strongest protection surfaces against explosives in the world. It is feared that the combat vehicle, which has been “redesigned to create a devastating effect for modern urban warfare”, will cause great harm to Ukrainian civilians on the front.
