44-year-old Ahmet Aydoğan, a goose breeder in Tokat’s Yesilyurt district, is happy to leave the big city, return to his hometown and engage in poultry farming.
Aydoğan, a married father of two who returned to his town 9 years ago after selling his market in Ankara, started poultry farming with 10 geese.
Over time, Aydoğan, whose number of geese exceeded 3 thousand, also increased his income.
Aydoğan’s goal, which sends frozen geese all over Turkey, is to reach 5 thousand geese.
Aydoğan said that he was happy that he decided to return to his hometown 9 years ago.
Stating that poultry breeding is an income-generating business, Aydoğan said, “With the decision I made, I transferred my market and settled in my district. Here I became interested in goose breeding. I continue to increase goose breeding every year. We currently have 350 breeding geese.
