While stocks traded on Borsa Istanbul lost an average of 0.86 percent of their value on a weekly basis, the gram price of gold increased by 2.63 percent, euro/TL by 1.16 percent and dollar/TL by 0.49 percent.
After seeing the lowest point of 9,708.34 and the highest point of 10,078.12, BIST 100 index completed the week at 9,821.96 points, losing 0.86 percent compared to the previous week’s close.
GRAM, QUARTER, REPUBLIC GOLD PRICES
The selling price per gram of 24-carat gold bullion traded in the Grand Bazaar increased by 2.63 percent this week to 2,688 liras, while the selling price of republic gold increased by 2.46 percent to 17,735 liras.
The selling price of quarter gold, which was 4,345 lira last weekend, increased to 4,451 lira.
LATEST SITUATION IN DOLLAR AND EURO
This week, the US dollar gained 0.49 percent to 33.7010, and the euro increased 1.16 percent to 37.0610 lira.
Mutual funds gained 0.69 percent and pension funds gained 0.52 percent this week.
When looked at by category, the most profitable investment fund among them was the “Precious Metal” funds with 3.89 percent.
