The decision regarding expropriation of the General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs (MAPEG) of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources was published in the Official Gazette.
Accordingly, the energy transmission line between Kayaköy wells, oil pipeline, location fields and roads, and the underground oil pipeline between Ağaçlıdere-1 and Sarıcak, which are included in TPAO’s oil exploitation and exploration license within the borders of Diyarbakır, are required only for the land owners’ market value. It is in Alçık village of Diyarbakır’s Sur district, which cannot be purchased by agreement due to the price it demands and has urgent seizure orders by Diyarbakır 7th and 8th Civil Courts. It was decided to expropriate a total of 48 thousand 605,557 square meters of easement and 220 thousand 449,898 square meters of ownership land in accordance with Article 10 of the Turkish Petroleum Law No. 6491.
It is necessary for the location area and road of the Akören-1 well, which is planned to be opened in the oil exploration license area owned by TPAO in Diyarbakır, but it is not possible to purchase it by agreement because the land owners demand a price above the market value, and the Diyarbakır 7th Civil Court of First Instance has urgently ordered it. In Sur’s Ağaçdere village, where there are confiscation orders, the parcel numbered 134 island 1, with a property of 18 thousand 206.03 square meters, and the parcel numbered 132 island 1. TPAO’s oil exploitation license in Diyarbakır, which was to expire on 30 November 2024, was extended for 10 years until 30 November 2034.
Transatlantic Petroleum Crude Oil and Natural Gas Search and Production Inc. was granted an operating license for 6 years, on the condition that a well promised in the application file should be drilled within 2 years from the granting of the license in a 14 thousand 535 hectare field in Kırklareli and Tekirdağ, otherwise the license would be cancelled. .
Then, it was decided to use the remaining part of the 20-year legal period for the operating license according to the production and development activities that the company will carry out in the field, upon request and in line with the commitment.
