The 2024 collection prices of cotton, one of Aydın’s important agricultural products and known as white gold, have been announced.
The 4 district chamber presidents who came together announced that the cotton picking fees in Efeler, Incirliova, Germencik and Koçarlı districts are 1,250 TL per decare.
Efeler Chamber of Agriculture President Mehmet Kendirlioğlu, who announced that the collection price, which was 950 TL per decare last year, increased to 1,250 TL this year, said that the decision they made was not binding and that it was an advisory price, and that this pricing was mostly followed.
In the statement made by Efeler Chamber of Agriculture regarding the subject, it was stated that “Today, following the meeting held under the presidency of Efeler Chamber of Agriculture with Chamber President Mehmet Kendirlioğlu, Germencik Chamber of Agriculture President Şahabettin Çapakçıoğlu, Incirliova Chamber of Agriculture President Ali Oğuzhan Ülgüdür and Koçarlı Chamber of Agriculture President Taner Güneş, the cotton picking fees for 2024 were determined as 1,250 TL/decare. We wish all our producers who produce cotton and cotton picking machine owners good luck.”
