Central Bank total reserves broke a record

Total reserves of the Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) reached an all-time high in the week of December 13, increasing by 4 billion 92 million dollars compared to the previous week, reaching 163 billion 482 million dollars.

CBRT announced weekly money and bank statistics.

Accordingly, as of December 13, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves increased by 3 billion 164 million dollars to 98 billion 175 million dollars. Gross foreign exchange reserves were at the level of 95 billion 11 million dollars on December 6.

During this period, gold reserves increased by 928 million dollars, from 64 billion 379 million dollars to 65 billion 307 million dollars.

Thus, the total reserves of the Central Bank increased by 4 billion 92 million dollars in the week of December 13 compared to the previous week, from 159 billion 390 million dollars to 163 billion 482 million dollars.
