While cancer cases continue to increase every year, it has been revealed that the age of bladder tumors has dropped to 16. Urology Specialist Prof. Dr. Ahmet Tunç Özdemir from the Prostate Cancer Association explained the frightening picture. Stating that bladder tumors, which usually occur in people in their 50s, are now seen in young people as young as 16 due to reasons such as increased smoking, low fluid consumption, and consumption of oils with additives, Prof. Dr. Özdemir drew attention to the fact that even children being in environments where smoking triggers the disease.
THE ENVIRONMENT IS POISONING!
Among the symptoms of increasing bladder tumor cases; frequent urination, pain in the groin area, urgent need to urinate, blood clot in the urine, back pain, weight loss, weakness; Prof. Dr. Özdemir, who made striking statements, “There are 16-year-old children who come with complaints of bloody urine, frequent urination, burning and soreness while urinating. “The passive smoking of children in environments where smoking takes place also triggers this disease. Unfortunately, society acts insensitively and unconsciously,” he said.
ADULTERY SPREADS DISEASE
Prof. Dr. Özdemir added that olive oils obtained by mixing with oils such as cottonseed oil and palm oil cause many diseases as well as triggering bladder tumors, and listed the following warnings: “Mixed olive oils, which also trigger diseases such as pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and diabetes, also cause bladder cancer. We need to make sure that olive oil is organic as it reduces inflammation in the body, regulates the digestive system, reduces the risk of cancer and has countless benefits. Olive oil should never be mixed with oils such as palm oil or cottonseed oil. Otherwise, the oils we consume to be healthy will cause various diseases. We should pay attention to the content of the oils we buy and prefer products sold in glass bottles.”
BE CAREFUL ABOUT BLEEDING IN URINE
Urology Specialist Prof. Dr. Özdemir, who added that the most common symptom of bladder tumor is blood in the urine, also said; “Bladder tumor can be seen in anyone who urinates. The most common symptom is bloody urine. Other symptoms are; loss of appetite, weight loss, frequent urination, difficulty urinating and pain. People with these symptoms should be diagnosed and treated by a specialist as soon as possible.”
THE FIGURES ARE NOT PLEASING
On the other hand, cancer cases are increasing in Turkey due to reasons such as smoking, obesity, air pollution. In fact, in the country, an average of 177 out of every 100,000 women and 247 out of every 100,000 men are diagnosed with cancer. Cancers related to tobacco and tobacco products predominantly affect men, while cancers caused by obesity and breast cancer affect women more.
