BIST 100 index, which saw a lowest of 9,821.96 points and a highest of 10,055.12 points during the day, closed the day at 9,821.96 points, decreasing by 1.61 percent compared to the previous close.
Compared to the previous close, the industrial index lost 1.27 percent, the financial index lost 1.89 percent, the services index lost 0.89 percent and the technology index lost 1.81 percent.
BIST 30 index closed at 10,685.10 points, losing 189.65 points and 1.74 percent compared to the previous close.
18 of the stocks included in the BIST 100 index gained, while 80 fell. Turkish Airlines, Ereğli Demir Çelik, Türkiye İş Bankası (C), Yapı ve Kredi Bankası and Garanti BBVA were the most traded stocks.
GOLD PRICE PER OUNCE IS 2 THOUSAND 488 DOLLARS
The ounce of gold is traded at $2,488 on international markets as of 18:20. The price of a kilogram of standard gold increased by 0.9 percent to 2 million 708 thousand liras on the Borsa Istanbul Gold Market.
The simple return of today’s value transactions of the bond with a maturity of February 18, 2026, traded on the Borsa Istanbul Bonds and Bills Market Outright Purchases and Sales Market, was realized at 38.68 percent and the compound return was realized at 42.42 percent.
The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (TCMB) announced today’s effective exchange rate of the dollar as 33.5872 lira for buying and 33.7218 lira for selling. The TCMB had previously determined the effective exchange rate as 33.5510 lira for buying and 33.6855 lira for selling.
As of 18:20 in international markets, the euro/dollar parity is at 1.0990, the pound/dollar parity is at 1.2900 and the dollar/yen parity is at 148.20.
London Brent crude oil is trading at $79.2 per barrel, down 1.5 percent.
