A major price increase is expected due to drought concerns in Vietnam. Coffee expert Sabri Pisikoğlu, who stated that the supply problem has not yet been experienced on a large scale, said that climate change could exacerbate the problem.

Pisikoğlu said, “Coffee is a product grown in tropical regions. Drought has reduced yields. A serious increase in coffee prices is expected for this reason. There is also a problem with port transportation. There is no supply problem yet, but climate change may increase the problem.”

Pisikoğlu said, “There was a problem in Brazil two years ago. The climate became cold, there was a 40 percent increase in prices in one day. When production decreases, coffee prices may increase by 40-50 percent on average.”
