Financial analyst İslam Memiş evaluated the geopolitical developments and the Trump effect that caused sharp fluctuations in the markets. Stating that the pressure under the gram is not permanent, Memiş said that the levels seen in January may come to the agenda again by the end of the year.

TRUMP EFFECT ON MARKETS

İslam Memiş said that the main agenda of the week in global markets is geopolitical developments and Trump’s statements.

Stating that the messages coming from the Middle East and Iran after the NATO Summit caused sharp pricing in the markets, Memiş stated that fluctuations especially in commodities and precious metals increased.

“WE ARE LEAVING A MIXED WEEK BEHIND”

Memiş stated that a week has passed without a clear winner in the markets.

Stating that there were decreases in precious metals and increases in oil again, Memiş stated that a calmer and horizontal outlook came to the fore towards the end of the week.

RISE IN OIL, RECOVERY IN GOLD

According to the information provided by Memiş, the barrel price of oil rose to 79 dollars during the week, then dropped to 76 dollars.

There was a retreat in ounce gold from 4 thousand 171 dollars to 4 thousand 113 dollars. This chart showed that the pressure on precious metals continued, but the panic remained limited.
