HE HIT IT ON PURPOSE
Within the scope of the Bayraktar AKINCI Project carried out under the leadership of the Presidency of Defense Industries, the integration of new domestically produced ammunition and systems into the Bayraktar AKINCI Attack Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA), developed nationally and originally by Baykar, continues successfully.
Bayraktar AKINCI successfully completed the firing test conducted with the TOLUN Full-Throw Guided Munition developed nationally by Aselsan. Bayraktar AKINCI, which took off from the AKINCI Flight Training and Test Center in Çorlu district of Tekirdağ with 3 TOLUN IIR munitions (guided munitions with infrared seeker heads), headed to Konya Karapınar Firing Test and Evaluation Center to conduct a firing test. Here, Bayraktar AKINCI fired the domestic and national TOLUN munitions from an altitude of 22 thousand feet and hit the target armored personnel carrier (APC) with a direct hit from a distance of 20 kilometers with its imaging infrared guidance (IIR).
LOCKS ON HIS TARGET SUCCESSFULLY
TOLUN IIR, developed by ASELSAN and integrated into Bayraktar AKINCI, has a firing range of 80 kilometers. It can provide image transfer to the center with a two-way data link. In this way, TOLUN IIR can effectively lock on to its target with human guidance until the last moment.
The integration process of nationally produced ammunition into the Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA continues successfully. Drawing its effective attack power from a wide range of national ammunition that can be used against different targets, Bayraktar AKINCI increases its effectiveness and deterrent effect day by day. To date, within the scope of the development activities of the national TİHA, MAM-L, MAM-L TV, MAM-T, MAM-T IIR/TV, MAM-C, TOLUN, TOLUN IIR, Teber-81, Teber-82, LGK-81, LGK-82, HGK-82, Gökçe Guidance Kit, Gözde Guidance Kit, KGK-82-SİHA, İHA-230 Supersonic Missile, İHA-122 Supersonic Missile with TV Seeker and Laser Seeker Head, and Çakır Cruise Missile have been successfully tested. Bayraktar AKINCI hit his targets accurately with national ammunition in the shooting tests.
DESTROYED IDA
In the test conducted on February 22, Bayraktar AKINCI successfully destroyed the Albatros IDA, which was sailing on the sea for the first time, using the ASELFLIR-500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, the world’s best electro-optical system in its class, developed nationally by Aselsan.
SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETED THE TEST
During the test activity carried out on February 24, Bayraktar AKINCI C remained in the air for more than 1 hour. Aerodynamic parameter steps were successfully tested during the flight. Bayraktar AKINCI C will be the most effective and capable combat platform in its class with a total power of 1700 HP, including 2 X 850 HP. Bayraktar AKINCI TİHA, which made its first flight on December 6, 2019, entered the inventory on August 29, 2021. Recently, Bayraktar AKINCI A with 2X450 HP power and Bayraktar AKINCI B with 2X750 HP power began to join the inventory of friendly and allied countries, especially Azerbaijan, as well as Turkish security forces.
