According to the data of the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM), the automotive industry made exports of 3.1 billion dollars in the industry group.
This sector was followed by chemicals and products with 2.6 billion dollars and ready-made clothing and apparel with 1.7 billion dollars.
The sector that increased its exports the most in July was the jewelry sector with 91 percent.
The exports of the industry group, which accounts for 70.8 percent of Turkey’s exports, increased by 14 percent last month, reaching 15.9 billion dollars.
In July, the agriculture group, which constitutes 12.8 percent of exports, saw a 3.1 percent increase in exports to $2.9 billion, while the mining group, which constitutes 2.5 percent of exports, saw a 23.2 percent increase in exports to $570.1 million.
HIGHEST EXPORT TO GERMANY
The top three countries with the most exports in July were Germany with $1.6 billion, the United Kingdom with $1.3 billion and the United States with $1.2 billion.
The top three cities exporting the most during this period were Istanbul with $7.9 billion, Kocaeli with $1.7 billion and Bursa with $1.3 billion. Sakarya, Çorum, Giresun and Düzce achieved the highest exports in their history.
Last month, 1,173 companies exported for the first time, contributing $98.3 million to exports. The kilogram unit export value was $1.49.
